I Care & Consult has been selected by the “Cities Climate Leadership Group” (C40) to provide technical assistance to the European cities taking part in the programme. The C40 includes 85 cities in the world, among which Paris, New York, San Francisco, Vancouver, London, Moscow, Rome, Milan, Athens, Seoul, Mumbai, Jakarta, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Beijing, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Cairo. This network of metropolis represents 650 million citizens and 25% of the global GDP.
I Care recently carried out workshops in two cities selected by C40: Basel (6th and 7th of September) and Istanbul (20th and 21st of September). Organised in the form of meetings with the technical departments of each city, these workshops included a presentation of the methodology of the GPC, which is the standard selected by C40 for the reporting of greenhouse emissions in the cities.
These workshops brought together representatives of different departments of each municipality, but also collaborating agencies and other stakeholders working for instance in the area of waste management.
