I Care & Consult just won a mission for the International service of the ADEME (French Agency for Environment and Energy Management) to assist Moroccan cities.
Morocco participates in the MobiliseYourCity initiative launched by the French and German governments and supported by the European Commission. The objective of this initiative is to support national and local governments of emerging countries in the development and planning of sustainable urban mobility.
The initiative’s partners are the AFD, GIZ, CODATU, CEREMA and ADEME. The latter is responsible for the proposition of methodological recommendations and tools for the quantification of GHG emissions of actions in the transport sector (MRV-GHG).
I Care & Consult participates in this project by:
- Analyzing the methods and tools to estimate the GHG emissions of urban transport in Morocco
- Proposing recommendations on the use of a method adapted to the national and local levels
- Training the partners of the MobiliseYourCity project and the Moroccan cities on the MRV-GHG methods
- Assisting 3 Moroccan cities (Oujda, Rabat and Casablanca) in the application of the MRV-GHG methods on their territory.
