Leonardo Werneck has been working with I Care & Consult for several years on various assignments in Brazil and more generally in Latin America.
As an I Care partner, Leonardo has managed several technical assistance missions, notably on behalf of AFD in the context of cooperation (green credit line) with Brazilian local banks (BDMG, BRDE). He also provided his expertise as part of a mid-term evaluation mission of the RIT (Integrated Transport Network) Environmental Restoration and Capacity Building Programme for the IPPUC (Curitiba Urban Planning Institute). Leonardo is in charge of I Care’s business development in Brazil and Latin America.
Before working closely with I Care, Leonardo worked in several consulting and engineering companies, including TECTRAN (SYSTRA’s subsidiary in Brazil) where he carried out numerous integrated transport and land use planning studies. He has also managed multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects and urban planners for road projects, traffic studies and environmental studies. Leonardo has twenty years of experience.
Leonardo holds a Master’s degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Architecture and Urban Planning; he also has a Master’s degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) in Design and Environment. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and French and has a good knowledge of Spanish.
