Léo Genin is a managing partner at I Care & Consult. He is an international carbon expert, with strong expertise in energy efficiency, air pollution and climate change, and he has led more than fifty missions in these fields, on behalf of companies and various public actors (Ministries, local authorities, ADEME, AFD, etc.). Its main areas of intervention are the design of environmental methods and tools, the development of upstream strategy (company, territory) and the development of urban projects, with in-depth expertise in the transport sectors.
Léo also has strong skills in developing public environmental policies, conducting strategic environmental assessments and leading technical assistance program in international context. Additionally, Léo is in charge of developing I Care & Consult’s activities in emerging countries, particularly in Brazil where he has carried out around fifteen projects since 10 years, and in Morocco. He is also a certified trainer and expert accredited by several international organizations and programs in the field of climate change (European Energy Award, Airport Carbon Accreditation, Assessing Low Carbon Transition, City Climate Planner).
Before joining I Care & Consult, Léo worked at CEPEL, Brazilian Energy Research Center (Eletrobas). He also carried out a volunteer mission for the United Nations, the objective of which was to pilot CTBTO scientific facilities located on the most isolated inhabited island in the world.
Léo is a graduate of the Ecole Centrale (ECN08) and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with a specialization in energy planning. He is certified by ADEME to work with the Bilan Carbone® and Cit’ergie®.
